 NOMINATIONS & CANDIDATES:

Dorothy Nygren has generously offered to support WANT as Election Monitor for the upcoming election cycle and is open to fielding your questions.  *Any* member in good standing wishing to volunteer themselves or nominate another member to participate in the WANT board can reach out to express their interest!

DETAILS:

We will be hosting WANT board elections at our December 8th General Membership meeting.  We will host an open Nomination period through November 30th to gather interest. During this time, we will accept nominations for candidates or interest from any member in good standing that wishes to offer themselves as a candidate for any board position, generally via email or phone call.  Dorothy Nygren has stepped forward as Election Monitor The Nominations Monitor will collate all candidates nominated during this period and will report their findings to the board by 5pm on November 30th.  We will then post and share the names of all candidates electronically in advance of the December 8th meeting.

The monitor will verify the result of the Nomination period for the General Membership.  If there are no positions with more than one candidate, the new board can be adopted by acclamation at the Dec 8th meeting, following the language of the bylaws. In the event that there is more than one candidate for any position, a live ballot vote will be held at the December 8th meeting.
